Refund Policy

Every piece is made by hand in small batches, and I want you to love what you receive. Here’s how returns, refunds, and replacements work.
Damaged in transit
If your piece arrives broken or damaged, please email sleepyhumanstudio@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery with:
- Your order number.
- Photos of the damage and the packaging.
We’ll either replace the piece (if a comparable one is available) or issue a full refund.
Change of mind
Because every piece is one-of-a-kind and made-to-order, we generally don’t accept change-of-mind returns. If something doesn’t feel right, reach out within 14 days of delivery and we’ll do our best to find a fair solution — we’re a small studio and we genuinely care.
Custom and pre-order pieces
Custom commissions and pre-order items are non-refundable once production has started, except in the case of damage in transit or studio error. We’ll always communicate clearly before beginning a custom piece.
How refunds are issued
Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method via Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days. Original shipping is non-refundable unless the issue is on our end.
Cancellations
Need to cancel? Email us within 24 hours of placing your order and, if it hasn’t shipped yet, we’ll cancel and refund in full.
Your rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act or other applicable Canadian law.
